Membership Information
Our Houston Alumnae Chapter is strong and growing. We are very fortunate to have so many wonderful young women joining Tri Delta at the collegiate level every year. Membership dues help support both local alumnae chapter activities, collegiate activities and the national organization, thus supporting the framework of Tri Delta Houston for future generations.
We respect the fact that our members' level of involvement within their alumnae lifetime will vary. There are no required meetings or required “hours.” We will be here when you are ready to jump in! Taking the initiative to join by paying membership dues helps ensure a lasting sustained local alumnae chapter.
Our membership drive begins in the spring with a mailing/email to all Tri Deltas living in the Houston area within our database. The entire membership is also invited to our annual fall membership party. We are pleased to be able to offer the convenience of joining in an instant through our online partnership with PayPal.
The Advantage of Becoming a Dues Paying Member
Dues paying members are invited to participate in all chapter-wide events and programs; from wine tastings, to cultural/education programs, to festive parties. Dues paying members receive:
- Invitations, reminder postcards, or evite several weeks prior to each chapter wide event as well as an email reminder
- The quarterly chapter newsletter with great articles and pictures of events
- A convenient spiral-bound member directory
It is never too late to join! There will always be a fall deadline for listing in the printed directory, but you may join at any time to take advantage of the many fun alumnae activities throughout the year.
There are several categories of membership. If you have made a commitment to join Life Loyal at the national level, you are permanently exempt from the national dues portion of our member dues. You will still need to pay the local portion of the annual dues to be a member of the Houston Alumnae Chapter.
*Note: Your membership shows your support for Tri Delta and is recommended for those who plan to write references or letters of support for prospective collegiate members.
